Investment Objective

Seeks to provide a level of current income that is higher than the yield generally available in Asia Pacific equity markets over the long term.

Strategy

The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, directly or indirectly, at least 80% of its total net assets, in income-paying publicly traded common stocks, preferred stocks, convertible preferred stocks and other equity-related instruments of companies located in the Asia Pacific region, and may invest the remainder of its net assets in other permitted assets on a worldwide basis.

Distributions

The Matthews Asia Dividend Fund intends to distribute its dividends quarterly. Third quarter 2018 distributions were paid for the I (Dist) and A (Dist) share classes on 28 September 2018 to shareholders of record as of 17 September 2018. Distribution information is now available.
